What is the main benefit of the vest?
When you add weight to your core, you increase your gravity, which makes it more difficult to move.

When do I use it?

Will the vest help me lose weight?
The vest can help in achieving your weight loss goal. It increases your calorie consumption rate while power walking, jogging or as easily as just wearing around the house doing any and all activities. Adding more resistance makes your muscles work harder and therefore burning more calories and extra body fat. . A properly weighted and fitted vest will increase your metabolic rate and intensify any exercise or activity. Thereby, increasing your results and burning 70% more calories in half the time.
How do the resistance bands work?
We have placed d-rings at several key positions that enable you to attach resistance bands in order to work out all arm muscle groups. Ideal uses are bicep and tricep drills, jabs and punches, overhead pulls and jumping jacks. Best of all you can do these added exercises while wearing the vest anywhere at any time- giving you a unique and complete workout that will fit your schedule and conditioning goals.
 Are there any age restrictions in using the vest?
With careful use of the amounts of weight, youth can start around age 12 and the elderly can benefit with muscle toning, lose weight and aide in improving spinal bone density. Always check with your doctor to see if you can use the vest safely.
How long does it take to see results?
Within a week or two you should notice some weight loss, increased energy and accelerated goals in speed, agility and endurance. As you feel comfortable with the weight, you simply add a couple of pounds to continue to se expanded results. The maximum of 20 lbs is sufficient to safely max out any routines you may be doing.
How do I know that the vest will fit me?
The vest is designed to be adjustable to almost any body type (See fit measurements on the eight vest page). The vest has a vertical Velcro closure in front with waist straps that come around and Velcro for a firm fit. There are also side elastic bands to give firmness yet also allow for comfort in wearing and breathing. The weights placed in individual sleeves within closed pockets that eliminate any movement.
How much weight should I start with?
Your general conditioning should determine this, but the safe way is to start with 2.5 lbs (2 bars) or 5 lbs (that is 4 bars). Another good rule of thumb is 4-6% of body weight. Once you become use to the extra weight, simply add more weight. For the conditioned athlete we recommend not use more than 4-6% of body weight.
How do you add weight to the vest?
The total weight carried in the vest can be adjusted by adding the 1.25 lb weights in the individual sleeves inside the front and back pockets. Always balance these (as you are able) with equal number in back as in front, so you won’t be front or back heavy.
How safe is the vest? - Will it hurt my back?
A properly fitted and weighted vest actually strengthens your back and helps the nerves work more efficiently to build your core stability and strength.
